Wall coached the under-14s football team for the 2017 season.
Joint club president Trevor McClure said Wall came to the presidents at the start of the year and said he wanted to coach juniors.
“He is the quietest person in the whole world and we thought we would give him a go,” he said.
“He was inspirational to the kids.
“He didn’t miss a training session as a senior player and a coach – he never missed a beat.
“When young people put themselves out there and do the right thing they should be rewarded.” Mr McClure said Wall played and coached in the spirit of a true club person.
He said the club had many hard-working volunteers.
“There was definitely other worthy people of the award,” he said.
Wall’s sister Abby Wall was awarded the under-21 netball club person of the season.
“She injured her foot at the start of the year and ended up doing a lot of managerial roles in the senior netball,” Mr McClure said.
Jess Sambell won the netball club person award.
Mr McClure said the night had a good feeling to it.
“The awards that people won were a direct result of the teams they played in throughout the season,” he said.
“It’s important that everyone pitches in and that is what makes the difference.”
