Four girls compete to be crowned Queen of the Ararat Golden Gateway Festival in 2017

Four girls will compete to be crowned Queen of the Golden Gateway Festival in 2017.

Megan Hammerstein

Megan is a student who aims to buy a car then complete year 12 and then go to University at Deakin.

She also hopes to travel overseas more.

Her hobbies include netball, spending time with friends and family and travelling.

She has raised money for the Red Shield Appeal.

Chloe Dunmore

Chloe is a swim teacher for school aged children and people with a disability.

She is also a netball and basketball referee and a coach and co-ordinator for referees.

She hopes to travel, work in a high athlete level career and be a leader and to be recognised as making a difference.

She has raised money for SES and Driver Reviver.

Ashley Crone

Ashley hopes to travel to Japan for work and study.

She has studies under a music scholarship at Ararat College and has competed and won awards at eisteddfods.

Her hobbies are singing, reading, cooking and helping people. 

She has helped with Lions Club barbecues.

Darcie West

Darcie wants to become a youth worker when she is older, become a veterinary nurse and serve in the defence force.

She has obtained a scholarship to dance in Germany and New York and has completed a modelling course in Paris.

Her hobbies are horse riding, dancing, and teaching underprivileged children overseas.

She has volunteered with Stawell and Ararat Rotary clubs to raise money for Cambodia.
