It will be students taking the lead instead of their teachers next month when two students from Stawell Secondary College shave the beards of three school teachers for the World’s Greatest Shave.

Teacher Sam Carter said It had been about five years since all three teachers had been clean shaven.

“We might end up looking like some of the students,” he said.

Mr Carter said he chose to participate in the initiative because he personally knew people who could benefit from the funds and awareness the Movember appeal created.

“The leading cause for males under 25 in Australia is suicide, so it is a good cause and hopefully this will help break the stigma surrounding men’s health,” he said.
