Fresh from a pair of second placings last week, Clinton Jonasson, as predicted, backed up Shotgun Doll on Tuesday and she did everything right over the 410 metres to record her first victory on the new Horsham track.

Jumping from the middle of the row, Shotgun Doll led from whoa to go to record her 10th victory in a smart time of 23.32 seconds.
Being from a good breed line, no doubt when her racing career is over Jonasson may look to her as his next brood bitch.
She has “beaten the grader” by slipping into tomorrow night’s fields before recording her win and will be a chance to repeat the win in race nine if she can cross from box eight.
Heats of the Herb Faux Memorial were also held Tuesday and with the final to be run next Tuesday the responsibility for a hometown victor rests with Ian Bibby and Crymelon Idol.
Having finished second in his heat, it was his finish that drew all the attention.
After a tardy start and a bump early, Crymelon Idol sprouted wings in the run home to record one of the fastest run home times from the turn seen on the new track.
He draws his favoured wide box in number eight for the final on Tuesday and appears a genuine hope.
Tomorrow the club hosts a 12 race card beginning at 6.02pm, and Vic Millington is looking to get back into the winner’s circle with Solar Mocha lining up in race five from box four.
Millington’s dogs have been consistent on the track but have generally found one better most times, with even Starbright Vic running second again last Tuesday.
At last count, Millington had been runner-up on 14 occasions in the last couple of months.
Cliff Smith (Wonwondah) will be hoping for a change of luck with Prince Cheviot in race seven after a couple of torrid runs and from box two appears primed to unleash his big finish in a race that appears to suit.
Now daylight savings has kicked in and the weather improving, it’s the perfect opportunity to come and acquaint yourself with greyhound racing.
