The expo was recognised in the award category titled “projects that promote the professional opportunities in rural communities”.
Melyssa Fuqua of Nhill College accepted the award at the conference of the Society for the Provision of Education in Rural Australia (SPERA) on behalf of the expo committee.
The expo’s chairman, Andrew Vague, said he was proud see the expo gain recognition.
“Our expo committee and project officer do a fantastic job in the organisation of our event. The growth of the event every year creates more work for the organisers and we are therefore extremely proud to receive some recognition for our efforts,” Mr Vague said.
Next year’s expo is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, and exhibitor registrations open in January.
Mr Vague said people wanting more information about the expo could phone project officer Annie Mintern on 0419 300 405.
