Peter Wright took out first and second, with two nice yellows – one 50.5 centimetres and the other 47.5cm. Ellie Treloar came third with a nice yellow, caught on a lure, coming in at 45.5cm. The river is fishing strong on bait and lures at the moment.
Stawell and District Angling Club held a fantastic competition on Saturday.
Congratulations to John Smith on winning the senior division and the cup and also to Wyatt Blake who took out the junior division.
The club is very grateful to all our sponsors and especially Shimano Australia for supporting the event.

Lake Fyans fished well but most of the fish were caught on bait - the lake was hard to fish using lures.
Fishing Report
Thinking of throwing a line in? Here’s where the fish are biting.
Toolondo: is slow but nice fish are being caught but it’s weedy.
Taylors Lake: is still fishing well with bait and lures.
Lake Fyans: is fishing well with bait, however, it is also very weedy.
Rocklands: good, but have to look hard to get on a school of redfin.
