Gavin O’Connor, 50, appeared in Horsham Magistrate’s Court on Thursday following a police search at his house earlier that day.
The court heard that during the search, police allegedly found 2.42 grams of ice, along with cannabis.
O’Connor was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, particularly methamphetamine and cannabis, possessing a drug dependence and using a drug of dependence.
Senior Constable Andrew North said O’Connor made no admissions to trafficking ice, but allegedly admitted to trafficking cannabis on one occasion.
He said police would analyse two mobile phones found at the property and further charges could be laid in the future.
Magistrate Clive Alsop said O’Connor was facing extremely serious charges.
“He has a criminal history but there are no previous charges for failing to comply with bail conditions,” he said.
“Due to the lack of relevant history and his stable accommodation, he will be released on bail.”
O’Connor will attend drug and alcohol counselling as a condition of his bail.
He will re-appear in Horsham Magistrate’s Court on December 6.
