PEOPLE in the Wimmera walked to help eliminate men’s violence against women last Friday.
The Wimmera White Ribbon Committee hosted the event ahead of White Ribbon Day the following day.
The event started at the Horsham Aquatic Centre where a large crowd proceeded to walk through Firebrace Street displaying signs that raised awareness to violence against women.
White Ribbons were distributed for onlookers to wear and spread the message throughout their day.
The walk finished in May Park where the group heard from guest speakers Arnna Pickering and Rod Dumesny from Horsham Football Netball Club.
The club made a video where senior footballers took the oath to raise awareness on family violence.
