The Blue Panthers had plenty of contributors with the bat in order to set up the win against Homers. The side lost an early wicket at Rupanyup but then carried momentum through the innings as five out of seven batsmen reached 30. Bailey Young performed the best before being caught out for 49 as Homers were set a target of 214.
The chase got off to a shaky start with Darren McCann and Barry Hopper both being removed early and Homers struggled to recover. Connor Weidemann claimed 3-3 off 3.3 over as the as the Pigeons were dismissed for 131.
Homers have now lost two games in a row and have fallen to fourth on the ladder behind Horsham Saints Red, Quantong and Rup-Minyip.
Horsham Saints Red relied on tight bowling to get the job done against Laharum. Aiden Laffy top-scored with 38 for the Saints Red side while Jeremy Tyler picked up 3-8 as Lahurm restricted them to 123 batting first. Laharum were 4-11 in reply before Tristan March, 46, and Cooper Tyler, 21, brought the side back into contention. The loss of their wickets after a 67-run partnership triggered another collapse as the side fell 20 runs short.
Quantong did it easily by restricting Colts to just 45. Nathan Hill’s unbeaten 39 anchored the chase as Quantong won within 15 overs.
Tom Hart’s 32 underpinned a nervy Horsham Saints Black run chase. The Saints Black side reached its target of 90 within 34 overs against Jung Tigers.
