Lord took over the role after previous chairman Rod Dumesny and others with long-time committee members decided it was a good time to start a transition.
“We need to acknowledge the great work of the previous committees,” Lord said. “Rod leaves a large pair of shoes to fill as does his deputy chairman Jeff Both.”
Shane Cross will be the club’s new deputy chairman.
“Shane and I have got to know each other quite well over the past five and half years,” Lord said. “I’m looking forward to having a great relationship with him.”
Lord said he wanted to continue to build on the links between the football and netball elements of the club.
“I’m very keen to let the administrators take care of administration while the coaches take part of the that side of things,” he said.
