Lloyd returned to the Horsham Demons during the second half of the 2017 season and was an integral part of the club’s senior premiership.
He revelled in the opportunity to play alongside his brother Mat in the Wimmera Football League grand final and was awarded the Binns Medal as best on ground in the win over Minyip-Murtoa.
The 2015 Toohey Medallist played two games with North Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League in 2016 and was part of the club’s reserves premiership.
He played a further two senior games and eight reserves games before returning to the Demons to finish the 2017 season.
Port Melbourne likened Billy to his brother Jake in its signing announcement, saying he was a similarly tough and skilled player capable of playing through the midfield and across half back.
