The first fire was in Dimboola on Coker Dam Road about 12.15pm.
Country Fire Authority District 17 duty officer Craig Brittain said the fire burned two hectares of land.
Two CFA tankers attended the fire with the help of two bomber aircraft.
Mr Brittain said the fire was relatively easily controlled due to the aircraft.
“Once the aircraft hit the fire the guys on the ground did a clean up where they put out all the hot spots.”
The second blaze was near Kaniva on South Kaniva Road about 3.20pm.
“Once again it was excellent work by the brigades who rounded up quickly,” Mr Brittain said.
There were six tankers and two bomber aircraft at the scene.
A small fire was under control and safe on Jeparit East Road, Jeparit by 5.08pm.
The fire was controlled with one tanker.
“It was just a stubble burn near the cemetery that got out of control,” Mr Brittain said.
