Horsham Rural City Council community service director Kevin O’Brien said occupancy was expected to start in February.
He said construction works and fit-off would be completed in the first two weeks of this month.
“At this stage we are looking at moving in at the start of February and looking at kindergarten sessions relocating from the second term next year,” he said.
Mr O’Brien said the project still has $109,000 in contingency.
“Based on the assessment of the needs some joinery wasn’t required, which enabled us to review that component to achieve those saving,” he said.
Mayor Pam Clarke said the project had savings and overruns. She said having money in contingency and the project completed on time was a fantastic effort.
