The Blackheath-Dimboola Cricket Club will receive the biggest grant, with $2,738 heading to the club to help it install a concrete pitch and buy new equipment for its juniors.
Brim-Kellalac-Sheep Hills Cricket Club has $1,880 coming its way to help the club upgrade its practice nets, while the Horsham Cricket Association will receive $727 to also purchase new equipment for its junior program.
State member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford said the funds were part of a state-wide program which aims to improve the facilities available to cricketers.
“Victoria is the fastest growth state for cricket, and here in the Wimmera we’re working hard to create even more opportunities to discover our next international superstar batter or bowler,” Ms Pulford said.
“This grant will help these three organisations grow.”
