The students made Christmas cards for the city’s Meals on Wheels volunteers.
Organiser Yolande Grosser said every card student’s made was a treasure.
“They put so much time and effort into making each card and showing what Christmas means to them in their drawings,” she said.
“It is great to see the children thinking about others. They take it so seriously because they are making these cards for someone else.”
Mrs Grosser said 100 children were involved in the project, and 60 packages were made for the volunteers.
She said the project connected the students to the community.
“This is a lovely way for the children to interact with the older members of our community,” she said.
Horsham Meals on Wheels coordinator Jackie Bennett said it was special to receive the gifts.
“Not everyone is fortunate to have a family at Christmas and these cards brighten up the occasion,” she said.
