A Horsham man had an interesting tale to tell at the gym recently.
The man’s wife was heading to Geelong for a few days, and had asked her husband to ensure he watered the plants while she was away.
The man took the role very seriously, diligently watering the plants every day to make sure they stayed in tip-top condition – and remained well hydrated in the scorching Wimmera heat.
The man was pleased the plants were looking lush and beautiful, and that he had managed to keep them all alive in his wife’s absence.
Everything was going smoothly, until his wife got home as he was tending to one of the specimens.
A puzzled look came across her face as she moved to where he was standing.
“What are doing?” she asked.
“Watering the plants like you asked,” her husband replied, completely confused.
His wife gave a chuckle.
“You don’t need to water that one – it’s plastic.”
