Students have elected Ava Clark and Alyssa Petschel as next year’s schoiol captains, and Jamie Clark and Lilly Schorback as vice-captains.
Principal Greg Sampson said the students were nervous and excited for the year ahead.
“Their roles will include representing the school for official functions, running assemblies and being strong role models within the school,” he said.
Mr Sampson said the captains were chosen by the students each year.
He said being leaders was a great opportunity for students.
“Last year’s school captains felt that it brought out more in them, helped them get out of their comfort zone and allowed them to try new things,” he said.
“Being a captain helps the students be prepared for later life by being able to speak in front of other people.
“It is also an opportunity to step up and do a bit more for the school, as well as learn how to work with different people of all ages.”
