Here is who will be coaching your side next season:
Harrow-Balmoral
Nick Pekin will be at the helm for Harrow-Balmoral after Paul Cleaver’s three year tenure comes to an end.
Pekin was an assistant coach of the Southern Roos in 2017 and has a great knowledge of the club.
He will be trying to take Harrow-Balmoral to a third straight grand-final after loosing two years in a row to the Giants.
Pimpinio
Nathan Sachse will bring plenty of local knowledge to his new role as head coach of Pimpinio.
Sachse is an experienced player and has spent the past three years in the Wimmera league with Nhill.
He joins Pimpinio as a playing coach and will be looking to start their rise up the Horsham district ladder.
Southern Mallee Giants
The Giants will be turning to a young coach in Coleman Schache in their bid to complete a three-peat in 2018.
Schache, who is from Hopetoun, has played football at high levels, including five years with North Ballarat in the Victorian Football League. The team has also been boosted by the signing of former VFL player Josh Webster.
He takes over from Shaun Monohan in what will be his first coaching role.
Swifts
Scott Carey will once again lead the Swifts after a positive 2017 season.
Carey helped take the Swifts to third on the ladder and has set his sights on earning a place in the grand final next year.
Kalkee
Kalkee is primed for a big year after a busy off-season.
Hamish Exell was quickly re-signed as a playing coach for the Kees. The club also announced that Stuart Farr would be joining Exell as a joint coach for the 2018 season.
Farr brings with him an extensive knowledge of football in the Wimmera, after playing a role in 10 premierships with the Horsham Demons in the Wimmera league, while also coaching Dimboola to a premiership in 2013.
Kalkee have added a host of new signings as they look to challenge for the premiership.
Taylors Lake
After a tough season saw Taylors Lake finish second last, Jye Smith will gear up for another year as senior coach of the side.
Jye Smith was reappointed to the role and said pre-season numbers at training were high. It could be a better year for the Lakers with a few young players signing on for the 2018 season.
Jeparit-Rainbow
38-year old Tim Inkster will step into the senior coaching position at Jeparit-Rainbow in 2018.
He takes over from joint coaches Luke Murphy and Ash Clugston, who helped guide the side to fourth on the ladder in 2017.
Inkster is well travelled, having played football in the VFL, as well as leagues in Darwin, Canberra and South Australia. He moved home to Warracknabeal in 2013 to coach the Warrack Eagles and is hoping to guide the Storm into the top two.
Rupanyup
Jack Musgrove is set to coach Rupanyup in 2018 as they look to climb the District league ladder.
Musgrove takes over from Andrew May, who will still be involved with the club behind the scenes.
Musgrove has played football a high level in the Northern Territory where he won two premierships with St Mary’s. He will be hoping he can bring some of the winning knowledge to the Panthers next season.
Laharum
2017 senior best and fairest Robbie Miller will continue on as coach of Laharum next season.
Miller successfully led the young side to the finals last season alongside co-coach Todd Heynen. Miller will take on the sole responsibility next year as the Mountain Men look to improve on a positive 2017 season.
Natimuk United
Playing-coach Sam Anson will coach again next year after helping guide the Rams into sixth spot on the ladder in 2017.
Anson has signed some new players in the hope of competing with the top teams.
Edenhope-Apsley
Chris Oliver has been appointed the new Edenhope-Apsley senior coach for 2018.
He replaces Michael Rowe and has plenty of knowledge of the club and the league.
Oliver has captained the Saints before as well as helped out with coaching and training.
Noradjuha-Quantong
The Bombers were the final club to announce their 2018 senior coach, with Gareth Hose to take over from Heath Francis next season.
Hose has previously coached three seasons at Beulah and also has experience playing football in Cairns.
Noradjuha-Quantong’s under-17s have made three grand finals in a row, and Hose would be hoping their success can translate to the senior side next season.
