The plan for Roberts to take over as coach of the Wimmera league powerhouse was put in place when the two signed on to lead the club following the 2016 season.

The club will be bolstered by the return of premiership coach Jordyn Burke after he opted to step away from coaching Ballarat City.

DAMIAN Cameron will continue to lead the Burras after guiding the side to its second-straight grand final in 2017.

Tatyoon best and fairest Mitch Cronin and former Horsham Saints midfielder Ollie Timms have moved to the Burras, while Callum Hobbs has also joined the club from Harrow-Balmoral as they look to go one better this year.

AFTER plenty of positive signs early in the 2017 season the Warrack Eagles wasted little time re-appointing Ryan McKenzie as senior coach in July.

Shannon Argall will continue as his assistant after the pair worked well together on and off the field to take the side within touching distance of a grand final berth.

The side was also on the front foot in luring Nick and Jake Peters back to the club in October. The pair will add further depth to the club’s midfield and forward rotations.

LUKE Fisher will continue his tenure at the Horsham Saints after the side continued to develop a young and promising group in his first year.

The Saints will welcome two-time premiership coach Shayne Breuer back to the fold as an assistant, while Xander McRae will also operate as an official assistant coach.

COLIN Macaffer was signed to lead the Warriors senior side at the start of the Novemeber but the biggest news out of the Stawell club came a month later.

Former Collingwood and Fremantle forward Jack Anthony signed with the club after moving to the area to be around family and said playing for the club was something his Pa had always wanted him to do. A host of other recruits include Navarre’s Cody Driscoll and Old Collegians’ John McIntyre.

THE Rats did not have to go far to find a new senior coach for the 2018 season when they handed the role to Shane Fisher in September.

Fisher was appointed as the club’s coaching director prior to the 2017 season and replaces Terry Keilar at the helm.

IT HAS been a big off-season for returning players in the Wimmera league and the Tigers were no exception. 

Tim Bone replaced Alan Bennett as the club’s senior coach in November and he promised to bring a winning attitude to the club after tasting success in Queensland.

Recruiters have also been busy in an effort to strengthen the club with a number of signatures secured early.

AL MCKINNON impressed enough as senior coach of the Roos in his first season to be reappointed for a second midway through the 2017 season.

Former NEAFL players Justin Beugelaar and Sam Godden have highlighted the club’s off-season recruiting so far. The 28-year-old Beugelaar promises to be a strong leader at the club.

Jaye Macumber has also come on board in an official capacity as the club’e coaching director for the season ahead.
