The Mail-Times reported in December Dr Gillespie would visit to discuss a shortage of doctors in the area, and the region’s struggles in attracting and retaining general practitioners and other medical professionals.
Member for Mallee Andrew Broad hopes the visit will lead to the region being classified as a District of Workforce Shortage area, a federal government measure that aims to ensure adequate medical services are available in areas of the greatest need.
We want to know your thoughts about the region’s doctor recruitment and retention, and what the government should do to help the Wimmera.
What would you like to ask the minister?
Fill out the form below with your questions.
The Mail-Times will publish these questions online and in print ahead of Dr Gillespie’s trip to the region, and put them to the assistant minister when he visits.
