PLANS to improve Horsham West Primary School facilities have moved forward with architects appointed for the job.
Ballarat’s Morton Dunn Architects will design the upgrade, which included work on the main building veranda and addressing structural and foundation issues.
The school has several structural problems with cracks in the walls and the roof that get progressively worse.
Western Victoria Labor Member Jaala Pulford said appointing an architect was the first step towards an improved learning environment.
“Appointing the architect is an exciting first step towards delivering the modern, safe and stimulating facilities that staff and students at Horsham West Primary School need and deserve,” she said.
“This is a school with fantastic staff and students and we are making sure they have state of the art facilities to match.”
