The Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre emailed undergraduate offers to hopeful students in the morning.
Horsham’s St Brigid’s College student Claire Burke said she was accepted into her first preference course.
Claire will study primary education at the Australian Catholic University this year.
She said she was surprised by the offers being released early.
“I woke up to a heap of messages from my friends who all received their offers,” she said.
“I checked my emails just in case and there was a VTAC message, but I still didn’t expect it to be an offer.”
She said the outcome was a massive relief.
“I am so relieved and excited now. I know now that it doesn’t matter that my ATAR was not what I thought it was going to be,” she said.
“The disappointment from that is all gone now that I can see that I am in the course – I’m just excited.”
University courses start in early March.
