Mr Broad is starting the year on the right foot with a shiny new pair.

“My old RMs have worn some boot leather off over the last four years walking the country towns in the Wimmera and Mallee. I thought it time to get a new pair,” he wrote.

Seems Mr Broad has ditched the cheaper option of repairing his old boots in favour of a cash splash. 

Some followers questioned his decision, as they lamented the loss of the skills of the cobbler over many years.
