AFL Wimmera-Mallee introduced an opportunity for women to train in December, with the group meeting once before the Christmas break.
Due to the popularity of the training session, which saw more than 30 women register their interest in joining an all-female football team, AFL Wimmera-Mallee has announced the group will meet again next week.
The training session will take place at Horsham College Oval on January 24 from 6pm.
The future of women’s football in the region is still unknown, with AFL Wimmera-Mallee officials currently looking at the possibilities for where the team might compete.
