Jeremiah McKenzie and Austin McKenzie, Ben Hobbs and Eloise Wills have all had strong starts to the competition.
Former Horsham junior basketballer Jordie McAuliffe, currently based out of Ballarat, has also been competing well.
Under-18 boys
Jeremiah McKenzie contributed 11 points in the under-18 boy’s Victoria Goldminers 77-44 win against the NSW Waratahs on Tuesday.
McKenzie then played two games on Wednesday for the Goldminers, with the first a positive 105-42 win against NZ Weka.
The Goldminers then suffered their first loss of the competition coming against Tas Tigers 71-64.
Under-16 boys
Austin McKenzie and Ben Hobbs were both involved in the Goldminers victory against the SA Sharks on Tuesday. The side won 65-51, with Hobbs having a good game with 13 points.
Hobbs and McKenzie were both involved as their side registered another win, this time against NSW Waratahs with a scoreline of 77-64 on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday afternoon, both players again featured as the Goldminers thrashed NZ Kea 125-32.
Both players starred, with Hobbs top scoring with 26 points and McKenzie scoring 24.
On Thursday morning, Hobbs had a field day, scoring 39 points as the Goldminers defeated NZ Weka 148-28. McKenzie added 22 points in the big win.
Under-18 girls
Jordie McAuliffe featured helped the Goldminers register a close 49-45 win against the NSW Waratahs on Tuesday morning.
McAuliffe also enjoyed two wins with the Goldminers on Wednesday.
She scored nine points in the side’s 105-21 win against NZ Weka in the morning, with her side then coming up against Tas Devils in the afternoon, winning that game 70-40.
Under-14 girls
Eloise Wills performed well for the Goldminers, scoring nine points in a 40-34 win over SA Magpies on Tuesday.
She also tasted victory on Wednesday, as the team defeated NSW Waratahs 50-32 in the morning.
Wills then scored nine points in the afternoon as the side defeated NZ Kea 46-29.
On Thursday morning, Wills added an impressive 18 points as the Goldminers defeated the NSW Ospreys 59-43.
