The Grampians Youth Brass Band, made up of players from age six to 21, spent this week rehearsing before putting on a show in Ararat’s Alexandra Gardens.
Ararat City Band committee member Sandra Pope said the concert was outside the Gardens Lake Cafe on Thursday afternoon.
“It’s the third time we have run it. The camp has two separate sections for advanced musicians and the less experienced,” she said. “We have a total of 28 musicians at the camp. Most of them are from Ararat but we have some from Willaura, Portland, Horsham and Ballarat.”
The band’s set list included the Rolling Stones and the Pirates of the Caribbean.
