Horsham
Horsham: Free barbecue breakfast at 7am followed by official proceedings from 8am. Mayor Pam Clarke will deliver the Australia Day address. Flag raising ceremony, national anthem, an Australian children’s story and other entertainment. Australian citizenship ceremony for four residents.
Brimpaen: Country breakfast at 8am at Brimpaen Hall. Official Ceremony at 9am. Guest speakers are Barry and Judy Berendsen. Flag raising ceremony. Brimpaen CFA book launch.
Natimuk: Official ceremony 10.30am in front of the community centre. Australia Day address from Mayor Pam Clarke. Flag raising ceremony. Entertainment from Natimuk Brass Band. Refreshments provided.
Dadswells Bridge: Official ceremony 11am at Dadswells Bridge Hall. Australia Day address from Pauline Shirress. Flag raising ceremony. Refreshments provided.
Yarriambiack
All events to start from 8am.
Warracknabeal: Breakfast celebration, morning tea, Australia Day awards, music and entertainment, guest speaker Tanya Huebner at Anzac Park.
Hopetoun: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at the Memorial Hall.
Beulah: Flag pole stroll, breakfast and guest speaker at the post office.
Minyip: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at the town square.
Rupanyup: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at Memorial Park.
Murtoa: Breakfast celebrations at the swimming pool.
Woomelang: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at Memorial Hall.
Tempy: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at Speed Recreation Centre.
Patchewollock: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at the community centre.
Wallup: Breakfast celebrations and guest speaker at the hall.
West Wimmera
Dergholm: 10am at Dergholm Hall: flag raising ceremony, guest speaker, morning tea.
Edenhope: 8am at Henley Park: Australia Day breakfast, flag raising ceremony, guest speaker and Australia Day ambassador Dale Potter, children’s activities.
Goroke: 8am at Goroke Memorial Hall: Australia Day breakfast, 9am flag raising ceremony, guest speaker Keith Lockwood, morning tea.
Harrow: 11.30am at Johnny Mullagh Reserve at river bank: flag raising ceremony, guest speaker and Australia Day Ambassador – Dale Potter, barbecue lunch.
Kaniva: 8am at Kaniva Swimming Pool: bacon and egg breakfast, entry by donation, flag raising, guest speaker Karen community member, Nhill.
Hindmarsh
Addresses from Mayor Ron Ismay and Australia Day ambassador Maree Caldow to take place in each town.
Rainbow: Breakfast barbecue from 7.30am. Flag raising ceremony.
Jeparit: Breakfast barbecue from 8.45am. Flag raising ceremony.
Dimboola: Morning tea from 10am. Flag raising ceremony.
Nhill: Lunchtime barbecue from 11.30am. Flag raising ceremony. Australia Day award recipients to be announced.
Northern Grampians
Stawell: 2pm to 5pm: Free pool party at Stawell Leisure Complex, free temporary Australia Day tattoos, local DJ. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
5.45pm: Free community barbecue and other activities at Cato Park.
6pm: Northern Grampians Mayor Tony Driscoll welcome speech. Introduction of Australia Day ambassador, Damian Brown. Ripon MP Louise Staley to present Citizen of the Year.
Ararat
Ararat: Midday at Alexandra Oval Community Centre. Free barbecue lunch provided by council and prepared by the Ararat Lions Club. Official proceedings will commence at 1pm with Australia Day awards presented, a performance by the Ararat Rural City Band and guest speaker Bill Kusznirczuk.
Celebrations are also planned at the Lake Bolac and Willaura outdoor pools, with free entry and a barbecue to take place in the afternoon.
