THIS week’s Nhill fiesta will take on a rock and roll, swing and blues feel.

The third and final installment of the Nhill Fiesta Fridays in February series at Nhill Lake on Friday night will feature Central Victorian band Oozin Blues and Horsham-based band Blurred Lines.

Oozin Blues has been a feature on the music scene since the 1980s, and features Mallee farmer Steve Parry on drums and Stawell’s Sammi James on bass.

Frontman Tony Edwards and guitarist Neil Rote round out the band.

Blurred Lines specialises in classic rock, including songs from the 1960s to present-day.

Nhill Town Committee secretary Helen Ross said the night would be a dancer’s dream, with the music providing a perfect soundtrack to boogie the night away.

She said the Nhill College band would open the night, which will also feature a dance demonstration led by Horsham’s Janeth Rebarbas.

“To round out the multicultural aspect of the night, our Karen community will perform their famous and complicated bamboo dance,” she said.

Ross said children’s activities this week would include a dreamcatcher-making workshop.

The event starts at 7pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children under 15.
