This year’s line-up included Australian country music icon Lee Kernaghan and Australia’s Got Talent alumni The Wolfe Brothers.
Paul Costa, Kiara Rodrigues and Sandra Humphries were among the other performers.
Committee president John Naylor said the marathon was a huge success.
"We'll double our crowd of last year I reckon," he said.
"Lee Kernaghan and The Wolfe Brothers are no doubt the big drawcards, but we had an amazing line-up of artists.”
Lee Kernaghan performed at about 8pm on Saturday, with The Wolfe Brothers performing the sets before and after him.
Mr Naylor said a large majority of the people who travelled for the marathon ventured from South Australia.
"A lot of people put their hands up when they asked if they were from South Australia," he said.
"They come from far and wide."
Artists who performed on Saturday performed again on Sunday.
Mr Naylor said everything about the marathon was great.
"I highly recommended the fish and chips, they were absolutely magnificent. All our vendors did a great job," he said.
The money raised from the event will be donated to the Edenhope hospital, Angel Flight and upgrades for the Lake Charlegrark foreshore.
Mr Naylor said a power upgrade at the lake was finished just in time for this year’s marathon.
"It's fantastic to have that upgraded. I think there are 76 caravan sites and they are all full," he said.
Country music lover Jeff Rowe of Adelaide said he and his wife had been at Lake Charlegrark since Thursday night.
"We have been coming every year for 10 years," he said. "It's a good area, it's a good festival and everyone is friendly.”
Mr Rowe said having Lee Kernaghan perform at the marathon was a big deal.
"He's a big attraction this year," he said.
"There are a lot more people here this year than last year."
Gawler’s Charmaine Breuer said it was fantastic seeing performers both young and old take to the stage.
"The best thing about the marathon is the variety in the acts and the talent of the vocalists," she said.
"I came on Friday and I'm just thrilled to be watching the young acts, young women and young guys singing.
“They're brilliant."
