THREE people have been taken to hospital after a collision involving a truck and a car near Gymbowen.
Ambulance Victoria spokesperson John Mullen said crews were called to the incident at the intersection of the Nhill-Harrow and Natimuk-Frances roads at 12.35pm on Sunday.
“A female in her 40s has chest injuries, and was transferred to Wimmera Base Hospital in Hosham in a stable condition,” he said.
“A man in his 40s has a head injury, and a helicopter has landed to transfer him to Melbourne. They haven’t allocated a hospital yet.
“He’s serious but stable.
“A primary school-aged boy sustained an arm injury. He was in a stable condition and was also taken to Wimmera base.
“Another child was assessed at the scene but had no injuries.”
Mr Mullen could not confirm where the people involved were from.

EMERGENCY services are responding to a road incident near Gymbowen.
The incident at the intersection of Natimuk-Frances Road and Nhill-Harrow Road east of Gymbowen happened about 12.43pm on Sunday.
Vic Emergency lists the incident as small, with one emergency vehicle responding.
