Chairman Robin Barrett was re-elected for 2018, with Rene Vivian as vice chairman and publicity officer. Kath Hardy returned as treasurer and John McRoberts as secretary.
Chairman Robin reported on a successful 2017 with some of the highlights being the Walk in the Park and bus trip to Hamilton to share a meal and stories with their Parkinson's group.
It was especially pleasing to forward $6000 to Parkinson's Victoria for further research. The bulk of this money came from the proceeds from the "Walk in the Park" and sale of potted tulips.
The general meeting discussed ideas for future meetings. Karen Silcox, from Parkinson's Victoria, will speak on April 6 about Swallowing and Parkinson's. In June the group will hear from members in a round the table brief resume into some aspect of their lives.
