The conference was at Melbourne’s Crown Casino on February 16 and Horsham managed to win its third consecutive Outstanding Achievement Award for customer service.
It also took home the Coast to Coast Rising Star Award.
Jayco Horsham sells a range of different caravans and camper trailers.
Owner Richard Clarke said it was a great feeling to win the Outstanding Achievement Award for customer service for the third year.
Mr Clarke said he was pleased the service his staff provided to customers was continually improving and evolving.
“(I just put it down to) enthusiasm and working hard basically,” he said.
“We have a small crew, we all enjoy each other’s company, we have fun while we are at work and I think that comes across to customers when they come in.”
Mr Clarke said his business’ sales performance had improved every year since he took ownership three years ago.
“If we manage to increase sales each year, we get recognition from corporate for our achievements,” he said.
“At the moment we are averaging close to a 25 per cent improvement year-on-year for the past three years.”
Mr Clarke said the best-selling items changed throughout the year.
“At this time of year we are selling a lot of family vans, because the families have holidays or have had holidays,” he said. “We’re about to change into more of the retirees getting ready to do their northern trips. It’s quite seasonal.”
Mr Clarke said the crew was preparing the site for a massive renovation.
“Going through the process for the buildings and the sites, that’s going to be exciting as that starts to come to fruition in the next 18 months,” he said.
“We are revamping it.
“It’s an old site and needs redevelopment – something to step up its looks and appeal to customers.
“We have a large range now and it’s in the yard all the time.
“It’s time to start bringing ourselves into the modern era, as dealerships go – in terms of signage, facilities and the appeal of the place.”
