In the pennant competition, it was St Michael’s who led the competition from start to finish.
Despite missing out on a perfect season following a final-day loss to Haven, St Michael’s head into finals as the raging favourites.
The side will be looking to take out their third-straight premiership.
They will welcome back a host of players this week, including young stars Steffi and Jess Mcdonald, who missed last week’s loss.
They will come up against Drung South, who finished the season in second.
Drung South have been solid all season and have managed to compete well with St Michael’s in their clashes during the regular season.
They will have to be at their very best to cause an upset at the weekend.
The winner of that match will earn a spot straight in the grand final.
The loser will play the winner of the other semi-final, which will be a contest between third-placed Haven and fourth-placed Kalkee.
Haven will be confident they can defeat Kalkee, especially after they knocked off the top side last week.
Haven was in great form last week, with the side causing St Michael’s its first loss of the season.
Kalkee have had an up and down season, and lost to Horsham Lawn last week.
Kalkee did beat Haven in their most recent clash during round 14, so will carry some confidence into their semi-final meeting.
