Telangatuk East will go directly to the grand final after defeating Brimpaen 10-112 to 4-87.
From the outset, Telangatuk East players asserted their authority, winning the first three doubles sets.
Top men’s seeds Luke Dunn of Brimpaen and Matthew Jones of Telangatuk East played out a thrilling set, with Jones coming out on top 9-8 in a tiebreaker.
Brimpaen’s Gerard Matthews and Courtney Dunn steadied the ship for their side with two singles sets wins, however Telangatuk East stormed home.
The side won six of the last seven sets to book its spot in the grand final in two weeks.
Brimpaen will now have to play a preliminary final this weekend against Central Park, who won at the weekend.
Central Park defeated Horsham Lawn in the other semi-final on its home court.
Central Park’s ever reliable Brendan Nitschke and Ross McIntyre started the match off well, winning the first doubles set of the day.
It was a close match throughout, with Central Park holding on to a slender lead for much of the encounter. Central Park won 9-110 to 5-83 to move through to a preliminary final next week.
Telangatuk East will play the winner of Central Park and Brimpaen in the grand final on March 24.
