Motor enthusiasts gathered early this morning, and have continued to pass through the gates throughout the day, to see the spectacle.

Event spokesman Simon Clark said he was thrilled that the amount of cars on display had smashed last years total. 

“By 10am we equaled last year’s amount and cars are still coming in. People traveled a long way and we are very thankful,” he said. 

Mr Clarke said people commented on the variety of cars displayed. He said the standard was overwhelming and “blew people away.”
