A shooting of corellas has been scheduled in several locations around Lake Wallace from 8pm to 9.15pm.
There will be signs displayed at the sites where the shootings will happen.
Mayor Jodie Pretlove reminded residents the noise from the shooting could disturb animals, including horses, and community members would need to confine their pets.
“We are re-commencing a program that was put in place two years ago,” she said.
Cr Pretlove said the corellas had been wreaking havoc around the town, specifically damaging sporting venues.
“They have done a lot of damage to the greens and the football oval,” she said.
“I think a lot of people can’t even hear themselves think when the corellas are at their worst.”
Cr Pretlove said not everyone would agree with shooting corellas.
“I’m not sure it will make a lot of difference in the short term,” she said.
Cr Pretlove said people could call the shire office at Edenhope on 5585 9900 to be placed on the corella SMS list.
