The side defeated top team Brim-Kellalac-Sheep Hills in last week’s semi-final, with captain Jason Smith hoping his side can continue that momentum at the weekend.
“We got a bit lucky last week and tied them up early and started rolling though them,” he said. “We have some older blokes back in the side helping out the younger guys so it has been good.”
Smith said a score around the 250 runs mark would be ideal.
“We are hoping to win the toss and bat out our 50 overs – if both sides are batting it out you wouldn’t want much less than 250,” he said.
Fast bowlers Josh Walters-Marsh and Will Jackson will be key for the Saints, while Zane Bigmore has found success with both bat and ball this season.
Wycheproof-Narraport captain Tom Trewin said his side was looking forward to the chance of playing in a grand final.
“We are feeling excited, I don’t think too many of us have had the opportunity to play in a grand final before,” he said. “Spencer Allan will be important with the bat for us and with the ball Bryce Gaylor has taken the most wickets for us. Corey Harrison will be important too.”
The one-day 50-over match will start at 12pm at Marnoo on Saturday.
