The club fielded two senior teams, which competed in the pennant and A Grade competitions.
Kalkee secretary and pennant player Debbie Lawson said it was a successful season all-round for the club.
“We are happy with the season,” she said.
“We entered two teams and they competed probably every week. We have a few juniors playing in our A Grade, which is really good to see.”
Lawson said the club relies on family connections, who have helped bring more players to the club.
“There are a few families who live out at Kalkee in the area, and they help keep the club going,” she said.
“We also have a few players who come out from Horsham too, and are associated with the football club during the winter. They keep involved in the Kalkee area with tennis in the summer.”
The pennant side was rewarded for its efforts throughout the season, finishing in fourth and making the finals. They lost in the semi-finals to Haven last week.
“To make finals and try and compete is what all teams try to achieve for the end of the season,” Lawson said.
Lawson hoped the club could maintain its two senior teams next season.
“I think the aim for us is to probably keep the two senior teams going next season,” she said.
“We might get new players but others might stop too. Our ambition is to keep these two teams.”
