The two teams also competed in the one-day grand final last week, in which Homers were crowned champions.
Rup-Minyip was up against it on Sunday, after managing to post a modest total of 169 runs on Saturday.
That is exactly what happened on Sunday at Dimboola, as Hudson bowled 4-29 off 14 overs with six maidens.
In an extremely close encounter, the Saints were bowled out for 166, handing Rup-Minyip a four-run win.
Clinton Midgley was also prolific with the ball for Rup-Minyip, taking 3-56 from 19 overs, including the important wickets of Matt Combe, Corey Smith and Saints captain Tony Caccaviello.
Austin Smith batted well for the Saints at number four, making 62 runs before falling to Metelmann’s bowling.
Josh Hedt scored 47 runs, but besides that it was a bleak scorecard for the Saints, with no other batter able to score more than 14 runs.
Meanwhile, at Horsham’s City Oval it was a much more one-sided affair as Homers ripped apart Laharum.
After posting 340 runs on Saturday thanks to superb batting performances from Simon Hopper (95) and Chris Hopper (86*), Homers performed well with the ball, restricting Laharum to 120.
Chris Hopper backed up his batting performance from the day before with a five-wicket haul on Sunday.
He tore through Laharum’s top order, finishing with figures of 5-12 from 12 overs.
Jason Kannar also bowled well taking three wickets, but was more expensive going for 37 runs off of nine overs.
Laharum had four batters reach double figures, with Damien Bunworth top scoring on 32.
It was always going to be a tough run chase for Laharum, with Homers now hopeful of securing this season’s double.
The grand final will take place on March 24 and 25 at City Oval.
