The Mudlarks will be chasing the double, after winning the B Grade one-day premiership earlier this month.
Captain Lachlan Patching said it would be fantastic to claim the double.
“Winning the two-day final would be great and really top off the year,” he said. “It’s a long way away yet. If we can turn up and play good cricket then we are every chance.”
The game will be played at Dudley Cornell, with Patching expecting a score above 200 runs to be a competitive total.
“We played there the weekend just gone and we made 190 and I thought we were 20 runs short of where we needed to be. Anything around 220 will be a good score,” he said.
Patching expected the match-up with the Saints to be a close one.
“It should be a good game of cricket. The Saints have come well a bit later in the year so it could be a really good game,” he said.
Saints captain Brad Sproule said his team had been clicking at the perfect time of the season.
“We are happy to make the grand final,” he said.
“We had a pretty even spread of good batting, fielding and bowling to get here and we need to do it again. We are confident but not over confident. If we play well we should beat them.”
Mark Crafter made a century for the Saints in their semi-final clash against the Colts.
“Mark has had a good late part of the year, if he can make some runs again that would be good,” Sproule said.
The Saints will be trying to avoid losing back-to-back B Grade grand finals, after going down to the Colts last year.
“Anything above 200 we could defend. If we are lucky enough to bat first we will try and put 200 on the board and then try and defend it,” Sproule said.
