The side has lost the past three grand finals and will take on Brimpaen at the weekend.
Despite finishing on top of the ladder, Brimpaen player Luke Dunn believes his side are the underdogs.
“We’ve been beaten the past few times we’ve played Telangatuk East, they know how to play well,” he said.
“They have lost the last few grand finals and I think they would be devastated to lose another one, so the pressure is on them.
“We have nothing to lose really.”
Dunn said his side had been training hard in the lead up to the grand final.
“We had a good hit in the preliminary finals last week and a lot of our young players really stepped up,” he said.
“Hopefully the young ones get a few sets on the board early and that there is a few nerves from Telangatuk East.”
Telangatuk East’s Peter Rogers said his team had a good chance, but Brimpaen were a tough side.
“It’s always a competitive day when we play them,” he said.
“Grand finals are always different though – we’ve lost the past three, so that will be in the back of our minds, but we will see how we go.”
Mr Rogers said the men in his side needed to step up to the plate on Saturday.
“Our women have been consistent all year and play really well, so we need to do the same,” he said.
