The young Bombers took it to the Kees early with both sides having plenty of scoring opportunities.
Noradjuha-Quantong kicked 3.1 to Kalkee’s 1.5 in the opening term and took it to one of the league’s best sides.
The scores were level at half-time with the Bombers kicking 5.2 (32) to the Kees’ 4.8 (32).
The Kees asserted their dominance on the contest in the second half.
Led by Simon Hobbs, who kicked four goals, and consistent performers in Hamish Exell, Harvey Gunn and Steve Schultz, Kalkee worked its way into the lead.
Schultz finished with three goals to his name as Kalkee kicked 10 goals to the Bombers’ two in the second half.
The win means Kalkee leapfrogs Harrow-Balmoral into second place on the ladder.
Noradjuha-Quantong coach Gareth Hose said the Kees were hungrier for the ball in the second half.
“We had a really good first half, probably the best half of football I think we have played for the season,” he said.
“We used the football well going forward but they missed a couple of shots. In the second half they wanted the footy a lot more than us. Especially in the third quarter they were winning the ball more and their class with the ball in hand shone through.”
