Horsham’s Susie Ellis, Sally Pymer and Kelly Miller all travelled to the event to compete against the best endurance athletes in the world.
Ellis competed in the 50-54 age group, finishing 39th out of 148 athletes in her division, Pymer finished 61st out of 218 in the 45-49 age group, and Miller finished 21st out of 248 competitors in the 35-39 age group.
It was Ellis’ fourth world championship event, while it was the second attempt for Pymer and Miller.
The three women qualified for the world championships after competing well at a qualifying event earlier in the year.
The event required athletes to ride 90 kilometres, swim 1.9 kilometres and run 21.1 kilometres.
