With the welcome return of spectators to our race tracks, the Club has advised that the Trackside Bar & Bistro will be open for meals and snacks (bookings on 5358 1237) with free entry, QR code check in and masks inside.
Race eight on the program sees the annual running of the Rachael McGrath (Gration) Memorial Pace and the final leg of the quaddie looks a wide-open affair.
The all-girl trainer/driver combos of Bec East/Jackie Barker (1), Emma Stewart/Bec Bartley (2) and Kerryn Manning (3) look extremely well placed from the front line while the boys Paddy Lee/Glen Craven (7) Denis McIntyre/Jason Ainsworth (10) may have to work harder from their draws.
Harness fans can also follow the racing from afar with Trots Vision, live and free on your device, Sky Racing and the national racing radio network - full fields, form-guides and punting plans are available at www.harness.org.au.

Local doubles up
Horsham owner/trainer/breeder Aaron Dunn landed a double at last week's Mildura fixture courtesy of promising 2yo colt Hot Deal and 4yo stablemate Sporty Azz.
Hot Deal proved too strong for the opposition despite covering plenty of ground over the final 1000 metres and took his record to three wins and two minor placings from just six outings.
Dunn's pair of short priced favourites contributed to a mighty night for punters with only one winner on the mammoth twelve race card starting longer than $4.50.
Night Whisperer roars
The Ainsworth family have recently enjoyed a terrific run of success and their luck continued at Charlton on Monday with their 4yo bay Night Whisperer in a standing start contest for the squaregaiters.
Driver Ashley Ainsworth gave his charge the run of the race, trailing the leader Hanging On A Dream until the 300 metre mark when he found clear running away from the pegs.
It looked a certainty at the top of the home stretch that Night Whisperer would quickly overhaul the 66/1 outsider but it took until the shadow of the post
After 19 starts without a win last season, the son of Quaker Jet (Fra) and Parisian Dancer has really blossomed since and his current campaign has yielded six wins and four minor placings from 14 outings.
They're off at Stawell (D) today; Maryborough (D) Monday 28th; Charlton (D) Sunday 4th July; Terang (N) Tuesday 6th & Horsham (D) Monday 12th.
