People of all ages had an opportunity to grab a signed poster or have a photo with the back-to-back Bathurst 1000 winner, while he showed them his track-ready Laser Electrical Porsche racing car.
The Porsche Carrera cup driver said it was a great opportunity to come to the country and raise money for worthy causes.
"We don't get to do this sort of thing in rural areas that often, which is where our biggest fans are from," Richards said.
Many children who attended had the thrill of sitting in the driver's seat of the Porsche racing car, while Richards showed them the handy buttons and gear levers he used when competition racing.
Tate McKerron, 5, said he really enjoyed sitting in the driving seat and loved watching the Porsche racing cars on TV.
"I've also been really fast on a motorbike before," Tate said.
Richards said he would like to thank Laser Electrical in Horsham for making the fundraiser possible.
