A man aged in his 40s has been killed in a head-on smash between two trucks in southern NSW. Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway about 40km south of Griffith after reports two trucks had collided about 10.30pm on Friday night. Paramedics treated a 48-year-old man at the scene but were unable to save him. Police said the 28-year-old driver of the other truck was taken to Griffith Base Hospital in a stable condition. Anyone who may have seen the crash or has dashcam vision of the area around the time is urged to contact police. Australian Associated Press
