The Horsham primary school received $2 million from the Federal Government's Building the Education Revolution scheme for the project.
Principal Jeff Gork said the new building included a gym, large stage for performing arts, a large modern library, a kitchen, toilets and showers.
He said the new building was a huge boost for the school.
"We had an old building we had been using as a chapel and hall,'' he said.
Mr Gork said students started using the new building in the middle of last year but finishing touches were completed this year.
Pastor Gus Schutz officially opened the building on Friday.
Mr Gork said about 50 visitors helped celebrate the opening.
Guests included Horsham Rural City Mayor Mandi Stewart and Lutheran Education Australia representatives.
