Lakin, 17, has been named on the half-back flank as the Rebels' 23rd player for their clash with Sandringham Dragons at Eureka Stadium, Ballarat.
The Horsham teen will be joined by a fellow debutant in Casterton's Angus Cleary, who has been named on an extended bench.
Lakin has played in all five of Horsham's Wimmera league wins this season and represented the Wimmera league in its under-18s interleague win against North Central at the weekend.
Fellow Wimmera players Sam Jasper and Xavier Vearing have also been named in the squad, with Jasper on the extended bench and Vearing in the ruck.
The Rebels will chase their fourth consecutive win - and a top eight berth.
However, they will be without Horsham Saint Darcy Tucker and Rebels' team-mate Dan Butler, who will represent Vic Country against South Australia in round two of the NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
