The money will go towards furniture to go in the preschool’s renovated building, which is in the final stages of completion.
Organiser and parent Katrina Knight said the preschool relied on fundraising to remain financially stable.
“It is through the hard work of our committed kindergarten staff and families that Laharum Preschool is able to continually raise much-needed money to cover budget shortfall and improvements to our energetic kindergarten,” she said.
“We are excited to benefit from a much-anticipated and essential upgrade to our kindergarten so we will appreciate financial support to complete the furnishing.”
Ms Knight said the preschool’s wider community had been hugely affected by the Grampians bushfire in January so she understood if some people were unable to contribute this year.
“Many of our kindergarten families were directly impacted by the bushfire, as was our wider community,” she said.
“Given the current hardship as a result of the fire, Laharum Preschool is aware of engaging our community in our fundraising efforts while limiting the financial demand on our affected community.”
Ms Knight encouraged the Laharum community to attend the event and have a good time.
She said the evening would feature a five-course dinner and a silent auction.
She said people could call her on 0408 967 515 for more information.
