The eisteddfod is on September 5 to 7.
Committee member Jenny Blakeley said last year’s event was an overwhelming success because of community and business sponsorship.
She said the committee was also lucky to have had several volunteers help last year.
“They were then rewarded with a cuppa while listening to some of our up-and-coming talented musicians,’’ she said.
“Hopefully we’ll have even more sponsorship and helpers for this year’s eisteddfod.’’
The eisteddfod was put on hold in 2012 after its steering head Wendy Weight moved away.
It returned last year with 127 entrants in 250 items.
Mrs Blakeley said an expanded program would be a highlight of this year’s event.
New sections would include duets, trios, siblings in piano and other instruments and vocals.
“Last year, schools and individuals from as far as Edenhope and Rainbow competed and did really well,’’ Mrs Blakeley said.
“Hopefully they will perform again and encourage friends and other musicians from across the Wimmera to participate too.’’
Mrs Blakeley said the committee had developed a website at www.wimmeraeisteddfod.com.
People could collect the eisteddfod schedule and entry forms from Horsham Music Academy or by calling Margaret Priestley on 0438 947 959.
The closing date for all entries is July 29.
